While our friends enjoy a summer holiday in the South of France we have 2 fabulous weeks in the north of Devon... in Braunton... looking after their house, 8 chickens, 2 hamsters, terapin, tortoise, tomato plants...
It's been great so far and besides the chores we've been cycling to Barnstaple and Crow's nest;
walking through the wheat fields above the house;
playing tennis; eating fish & chips; the kids have been body boarding a couple of times but too cold for us oldies; reading books; watching movies; having BBQs etc... What a complete breakaway!
Joseph has just joined us after a week of helping at the Chatterbox holiday club in Bristol. His sisters are happy to have him around again... well so far!!!!
